Speechy space is led by the director Antoinette Tononcelli.
Antoinette is a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist (CPSP) with a Masters degree in Speech Pathology and Bachelors degree in Speech, Hearing & Language Sciences from Macquarie University.
Antoinette has a passion for working in the paediatric space, both in clinic and in the community. She believes in making therapy client-centred and play-based as this is integral to success. She is particularly interested in working in the areas of early language and speech sound disorders.
Antoinette has received additional training in Lego Therapy, DIR Floortime, Gestalt Language Processing and Responsive Feeding for feeding intervention in children. She is a current member of Speech Pathology Australia.

At Speechy Space, our mission is to provide holistic, evidence-based and individualised intervention to our clients and their families. We understand the importance of tailored care and strive to work collaboratively by understanding and working towards your goals.
We assess, diagnose and provide intervention for a range of communication difficulties throughout the lifespan. We support children in all core areas including the below
Speech refers to an individual’s ability to articulate speech sounds correctly and clearly when talking. This can be affected by phonological processing, motor planning or structural differences.
Receptive language refers to an individual’s ability to understand or comprehend language, while expressive language is ones ability to communicate verbally or non-verbally.
Literacy skills refer to an individual’s ability to read, spell and write.
Fluency refers an individual’s smoothness of speech and is often discussed as stuttering (repetitions, prolongations or blocks).
Pragmatic skills refer to an individual’s ability to communicate socially to build and maintain friendships, understand implied meanings and problem solve.
AAC refers to the use of high-tech or low-tech systems to support natural speech and language. This may be through pictures, words, gestures, body language, assistive technology devices and/or key word signs.
Feeding skills refer to an individual’s ability to chew and swallow their food. Speechy Space focuses on supporting those fussy or problem feeders and aims to build on food variety.
LEGO therapy is a social development program that uses LEGO activities to support the development of social skills.

We know how busy your schedule can be, thats why we are extremely flexible and can also offer Telehealth or school visits in addition to having sessions at our clinic.
